Verne Troyer’s Death Ruled A Suicide

It’s official. And heartbreaking.

After Verne Troyer died in April, it was said his death might have been intentional — a notion bolstered by his family mentioning “depression and suicide” in their statement.

Now we have the official ruling.

The Austin Powers actor went into “respiratory distress” caused by “sequelae of alcohol intoxication.” He intentionally drank himself to death.

It was reported at the time Troyer’s blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit. The new report, obtained by The Blast, says it was closer to four.

Troyer had a history of depression, and this was not his first hospitalization for alcohol abuse.

He was only 49 years old.
